Installation failed: mkinitcpio crashed with exit code 1

If I try to install Manjaro manjaro-xfce-20.2-201203-linux59.iso at an already partitioned system with an fat32-boot-partition, and an encrypted lvm with a huge partition for / and a swap partition, I get the following error:

How to resolve this?

I tried to fix the error by running sudo pamac install plymouth - but that doesn’t change anything.

Trying to install Manjaro for the first time, now I’m getting this error as well.

I have changed the partition layout to something more “Manjaro like” and now installation is working. (only 1 /boot/efi partition (fat32) and swapfile instead of swap partition).
