I’m new to Linux. Been trying to install manjaro and Ubuntu all day with no luck. Iso is burned to flash drive. I get to the first menu after booting it start it then the screen just blinks in the top corner. I know others have had a similar issue. I have a Intel I7-4790k, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070, on a ASRock Z97 Extreme6. Currently running windows 10 on 1 of my 4 hard drives. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you try switching to TTY3/4/5 with CTRL+ALT+F3/4/5 combination?
I don’t make it to any tty. It reset my aspect ratio then the underscore in the corner froze
Could you post the version of your UEFI?
I read about problems with v2.80 and the ASMedia ASM1061 SATA controller
ok good you are using v1.30 … you should consider to upgrade to v2.70.
Another idea. Disable “Advanced>Storage configuration>ASMedia SATA3 Mode” in the UEFI could help.
