Install software manually because i cant find in repos or AUR

im trying to install bitfocus companion but do not see it in repos, aur or in any other form like snap or app image so i need to install it manually.

it’s software to run on my stream deck via linux

I’ve searched online and the suggestions from what i read are to install it to the USR folder… can anyone suggest some best practices when installing software manually (not from source)?

i do not know if you know but there is a version on the aur though it goes by companion. here is the link AUR (en) - companion
