If you really have to ask such a question, then allow me to reply with another question.

Based on your Bio you are already running Manjaro. So if you’re asking about Manjaro and the installation/usage itself, you should be able to answer.

Regarding the HP Workstation:
I am using a HP ZBook G6 (which is called “mobile workstation”) and i assume it’s pretty similar. So yes, the installation went absolutely fine without issues.

All working from out of the box without large adjustments.

HP Workstations aren’t that special from the basics. Their speciality is that in many cases a specific GPU (OpenGL for CAD applications) is built in or they have a specific so called workstation CPU like a Xeon in use. But nothing special which can be a challenge for a modern Linux distribution.

Let me ask: Why do think there would be a problem?

Sure - Nvidia GPU may create issues - Intel Arc may create issues.

But in general - I am pretty sure it will work.

Can you post the hardware info of that computer ?

Online information suggests no major problems installing a Linux OS

The Manjaro Wiki needs editing and updating. It’s a slow process — too many articles and only so many Wiki maintainers.

Hello
Thank you for your reply. I have been using Manjaro for a few years now. I’m not a specialist but I get on well and really appreciate Manjaro. I now need a new computer and would like to buy a workstation with a Xeon CPU and Nvidia Quadro M4000 GPU. My concern is the installation of the GPU.

Thanks

Hello, thank you for your reply.
I fear a problem with the GPU. It is an Nvidia Quadro M4000. I hope that Manjaro recognizes it without any problems.
Otherwise I am not worried that it will not work. I have been using Manjaro for a few years now. I’m not a specialist but I’m getting on well.

Thanks

According to Nvidia - the card is supported by the latest 550xx

My HP ZBook is defined as “Mobile Workstation” and has beside the integrated Intel adapter a secondary dedicated Nvidia Quadro T2000 GPU. It works without issues and the GPU driver suggested by @linux-aarhus

I have it running under Manjaro KDE since the day i got it.

Thanks for the Information.
