Hello everyone. I have been using LibreOffice a lot at work both in English and Greek. There is no software for hyphenation and thesaurus concerning Greek in the official repositories but it’s available in AUR. I avoid using AUR packages due to incompatibility reasons. Do you think that by including only these two packages from AUR in my system I could jeopardize its stability? Thanks in advance.
It’s very rare for stability issues with the aur but it can happen, I’ve only had one aur package give me trouble, it didn’t affect my system just i couldn’t use the aur package. If you want to mitigate the chances of aur issues then maybe switch to unstable which is very close to arch stable.
Either way if you take regular backups it’s easy to undo any stability issues
When it comes to addons to a specific application, such as dictionaries, even using a custom script from AUR to add them, it is not likely to cause issues with your system.
