Icons on the main desktop disappear when editing

Hello everyone, when you edit the shortcut, it is the display on the home screen that disappears, while if you look through the file manager, it is. They appear only after a reboot

Does it happen with a fresh user profile?

(as there is no plasma 6 ISO I might assume this is not a fresh install and, the plasma 6 upgrade, as with any major upgrade, could necessitate clearing old configs/caches)

Create a new user, log out, log in with the new user profile.
