I removed wayland with its dependencies and now it boots into terminal

At least it boots to terminal. It could be worse.

Thank you all for your answers and guidance:) I know it was kind of a stupid thing to do…I learned my lesson. I decided that it’s better to do a fresh install.

Its really just a question of installing the things you need.
As linked above, mapare can do that in one line.
Of course if you choose to reinstall … that is fine too.
