I cant remove this "|" in the date/time of the KDE digital clock?

This is what the digital tray clock looks like since an update quite a while ago now.

I’v tried to remove the “|” several times in the last few weeks but just gave up.

I have looked at all the other clock widgets but none of them can help

This is my third attempt at fixing it, but this time I shall ask for help.

I just want the date - time in a single row. I do not want the “|” in it.

Below are my current settings for the digital clock.

You just need to install the Digital Clock Debarred plasma widget:

Once you have added it to Plasma, right click on your existing Digital Clock plasmoid and select “Show Alternatives” to replace it with the debarred version.

Ah, Thank you.

I had searched all the widgets for “clock” and “Time” and “date” but did not see that one in the list at all. I think it may have been that it was a few days ago now.

Wonder why on earth someone has to go to the trouble of creating a fork just to get the darn clock on the desktop of an OS correct ^^

I’m not a KDE user, but your issue seems similar to the one mentioned here

and here

There are bug reports mentioned in these threads and some kind of workaround, in case you want to try it.

Hope that helps!

Thx.

Yea, I was going to refer to it as a pipe too, but the odd thing was that when I added a pipe directly to the format string it was not the same, so I assumed it must have been a separator of some design.

Here is a pipe alongside the problematic character:-
