I am not sure if the fan is detected or not

Hi, I’m new to manjaro and I am not sure if the fan is detected or not as there almost no sound of the fan when I am running programs. here’s the output of the sensor

your cpu temperatures are around 40-45C, and the fan starts running at around 50C… so try to run some 8k video from youtube and test it

nothing to worry. there is an additional software-package to optimize your razer in the aur, but i recommend to get some basic knowledge of linux and manjaro before handling this tools. nevertheless here’s something more info about your razer and manjaro/arch:

@Olli thanks for you documentation! and I have read it before which is helpful though some sections I found it is somewhat outdated… In terms of additional software-packages, maybe just because I am really new to system and linux area, I have no idea now how to “open” them… e.g. I installed openrazer and razer-laptop-control from AUR and did sudo gpasswd -a $USER plugdev , but I wonder how to activate UI of them?

yes test with windows … and also run this command in manjaro and check:

the only thing that detects the fan is the first picture but it reports 0 RPM …

I can confirm that the fan is indeed working (at least for win), but just cannot see any configuration or info or whatever in win or manjaro…

stress --cpu 6 --vm-bytes 128M --timeout 12s would send some ‘hogs’ to keep 6 threads busy for a while… Good for testing your thermals.

I use Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro13. Sensor can not dect fan too. But When it got hot the fan will run auto, such as I run a deep learning program like yolo5
