HowTo's for KWallet and further

Hi, i recently reinstalled my System. copied back my -gnupg/keyring.kbx where my Kwallet Secrets are stored.
I synced befor my $HOME and restored some files, not all at the moment.
I also copied back my nmconnection files, my browser folder for several browsers (vivaldi, chrome, firefox) .
So i want to know, which one is realy using Kwallet and stored the credentials and which one not, but want/has to do this.

I’m facing here some problems and i don’t know, if it is a problem with kwallet or a misconfiguration.

As an example: we’re using 802.1x auth for our network. I use this for wifi and it’s working. When I’m trying to use this computer cert for the LAN connection, it fails. I try to store the secret of the keyfile in clear/not encrypted. This isn’t working for i’don’t knwo the reasons yet; i trying to fix this.
But when I’m using it with encrypted password for my keyfile, and try to connect this connection the pops on a password input window and here my password wouldn’t accepted. I think because of there wasn’t a new entry in KWallet->networkmanager . But how do i get this into Kwallet with wich settings?

I’m a little bit confused.

I have also a problem with syncing my profile for vivaldi and chrome and i don’t knwo exactls where it comes from.

i’ve got it working sometime ago, but cant remember how i got it working. check NetworkManager - ArchWiki to see whether plasma-nm installed, it probably is. try creating a password from UI and see how it gets stored in the kwallet. from what I remember it was bit of a twister

Okay, thanks for this link.
So if i’m using not the kwallet and store my passwords in the nmconnection file readable, kwallet hasn’t to do anything with my connection.

So this is very tricky, why this din’t work und Manjaro KDE, because my other latpop, with plain ubuntu 24.04 has this art of connection too. 802.1x for wifi and lan and this is working.
