The following article was in the Planet KDE RSS feed this morning:
Web Search Keywords – Thoughts of a sysadmin
I followed the easy instructions on the page and was quickly able to add Manjaro Forum & Wiki keyword searches to my Plasma desktop’s krunner.
There are only a few easy steps to follow:
-
Open krunner (Alt+Space) & type “Web Search Keywords” to open the configuration dialog
-
Click the “New” button
-
To add Manjaro Forum search:
- Shortcut name:
Manjaro Forum
- Shortcut URL:
https://forum.manjaro.org/search?q=\{@}
- Shortcuts:
mjf
- Click “OK” to add the search
- To add Manjaro Wiki search:
- Shortcut name:
Manjaro Wiki
- Shortcut URL:
https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php?title=Special%253ASearch&search=\{@}
- Shortcuts:
mjw
- Click “OK” to add the search
You should now have the searches showing in the list of Web Search Keywords:
To use the searches, just open krunner & type the shortcut:search term
. For example, to search the Manjaro Forum for “switching branches”, type mjf:switching branches
& then press enter. To search the Manjaro Wiki: mjw:switching branches
.
Searches from krunner
will open in your default web browser.
