How to remove unused Gnome extensions?

Most of the extensions that come preinstalled, even with the Architect installer, are completely useless to me.

How do I remove them?

packagemanager - they come as packages; The default one come in a combined package.

gnome-shell-extension- in the search bar will bring up all available and installed extensions.

Thanks.

However, this only shows part of them. There are still many that don’t show up when searching for gnome-shell-extension.

If so - they might got onto your system over at extensions.gnome.org which in particular do you not find in package manager?

That es exactly the gnome-shell-extensions packake itself. Thats what gnome devs think are the “essential” extensions.

Should be gone if you just remove gnome-shell-extensions package.

Sorry, missed that this one is bit outside of the naming sceme

Wouldn’t this remove ALL extensions?

In principle, and probably what you are looking for, you could have a Vanilla Manjaro Gnome install and use only the extensions from https://extensions.gnome.org/ or from repos installed via their own package, or from AUR, without the manjaro-gnome-settings and manjaro-gnome-assets but then you will lose the manjaro-gdm-theme too. I have to check if all have dependencies that might break something if removed.
Give me a moment to do that on VB and report back.

it removes those extensions + the gnome-classic session; But if you want to remove these extensions so dearly you will have to remove that package.

Well it seems like it’s more trouble than it’s worth, just to satisfy my slight OCD. I have already removed about half of my unused extensions, I guess I can live with having the rest just be there deactivated.
