How to install Sway edition

Hi Community, feeling a bit of an idiot, but
…after booting Sway edition in live environment, how can I actually install it? No install launcher as in the official editions (I normally use gnome), what am I missing?

The installer program name is calamares.
In a menu I’d look for install or that as well … is there no welcome screen as in the other iso’s?

… a few minutes later, after booting this iso up and checking:
no, there isn’t a welcome screen - instead:
the installer is already there
it is already present when one boots from USB
it may look like a background image - it is not - it is the installer

any click on the menu top left brings up the launcher - you launch calamares from there as well

Its a shot in the dark as not sure what’s happening (or not happening), but you might want to try running the installer from the terminal.

When I was trying out Manjaro Sway in VirtualBox, I had a similar issue

check this out for more info

Try this:

  1. Open a terminal
  2. Copy and paste this command
  3. sudo -E calamares

and fingers crossed :smiley:
