How to enable location services on Manjaro?

I’m running Manjaro 20.2.1 Nibia, Kernel x86_64 Linux 5.10.15-1-MANJARO, DE: Xfce 4.16 and WM: Xfwm4.

I installed redshift via pacman

A few seconds later after firing up redshift I get the following error

Redshift-geolocation-error

I’ve searched in Manjaro settings and the Internet in vain.

How do I turn on location services?

Thanks in advance for your time.

It looks like only GNOME has integrated location service, for other DE you must manually provide the latitude and longitude. Read: Running redshift under xfce [Alex Forencich]

I received the same message on an XFCE minimal installation. My solution was to right click on the time in the panel, choose properties, and choose my appropriate timezone under time settings.

For this message not show up anymore, just logout/login
