How to disable the Corner Bar applet?

There is this applet, corner bar. It pops up when I press Alt-Space, I believe.

However, due to an ailment in my left hand, it pops up unexpectedly when I’m gaming, and need to press Space to jump or dodge.

I don’t need that applet anyways, so I’d like to have it disabled or removed.

However, in System Settings → Applets, it has a little lock on it, and its settings icon is greyed out.

How can I get rid of that feature?

You should be able to find “Applets” in your menu, switch to the “Manage” tab and search for “corner” using the small search box.

From that point, click to select (highlight) the Corner Bar in the list, and click the minus (-) button at the bottom of the Applets window to remove it from your desktop configuration (the checkmark next to it will disappear to indicate it’s removed).

The feature should automatically disappear from view.

Alternately, you can right-click the Corner Bar while it’s visible in the panel, and click “Remove Corner Bar”.

Regards.

That means:
that Applet is not active -
what you mean/look for to disable is something else

It looks the very same as you describe for me in my installation from the minimal edition.
But:
the key combination ALT+Space does nothing for me, nothing happens …

I too cannot get this to replicate.

ALT+Space on the Desktop does nothing,
On open applications, it opens the Minimize/Unmaximize/Move menu from the title bar.

It must be a key binding in the actual app you are running.
