I have switched from MATE to GNOME desktop environment. Any easy way to remove MATE completely(both are ARM version) from terminal itself? I had run sudo pacman -S gnome in the mate version, rebooted and switched to gnome environment from the lightdm gtk greeter console before logging in.
sudo pacman -Rs mate mate-extra
Before confirming the operation, double check it does not include packages you want to keep.
