I have always had the default download location set to ~/Desktop. Some weeks ago I changed some setting in system settings or dolphin that made kde update the default download location to the last folder used. This is driving me nuts and I cannot find the setting to change it back to what I had.
Would be handy if you mentioned in what application you “Download” 
Because all applications have their own settings for that…

It was setting No. 2 in my Vivaldi browser
Fixed now.
