How does wine emulate app installation?

I understand a bit how does wine work under the hood, but the installation process… it stills kinda difficult.

For example, i have app installer, which wants to install the app to C:/example-folder/app-name,
how does it work with Linux paths system?
Where would C:/example-folder/app-name be located, how does app will understand it?

I guess, wine just create special folder somewhere in home directory, but how does the C:/ emulates?

The folder wine installs prograns to is .wine in the hope folder. Inside that folder is a c_drive folder.

Hello @gamer_girl_2007_nah,

without any settings the apps where installed like @Jim.B says. But if you are interested in this you can also take a look in here for more options:
