How do i downgrade Pacman Packages (Nvidia Drivers)?

I have recently updated the Nvidia Drivers using pacman (linux66-nvidia) and now suddenly i can’t open any of my games i have on steam, so is there any way i can downgrade the drivers from 550.67-5 (actual) to 550.67-4 (old)?
Thanks in advance

Hello @Mister23

Did you reboot after upgrading the nvidia driver? A kernel upgrade would also need a reboot.

Welcome to the forum!

First of all, downgrading packages are unsupported. To answer your specific question about the NVIDIA package, you don’t. 550.67-4 > 550.67-5 is not an NVIDIA driver version update, it’s a kernel module update to match your currently installed kernel.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? No, seriously. You should always reboot when there are important updates like kernels, Mesa, etc.

Yes i did reboot after the installation

I ended up reinstalling nvidia-utils and it now works

Alright, at least that’s out of the way.

This is obviously an XY Problem:

You’re asking about your attempted solution rather than your actual problem. This leads to enormous amounts of wasted time and energy, both on the part of people asking for help, and on the part of those providing help.
