How do I change the hostname displayed in neofetch?

Guys, I want to change the hostname or to put it another way, the model ( Host: OPTIMUS OPTIMUS E-Sport GB550-CR3 ) that is displayed in neofetch:

I started browsing the system looking for neofetch files, in order to find the resource where it takes this hostname(model).

I looked in the config file which is located in the path:

/home/user/.config/neofetch

I found the first mention of the word β€œHost” at the beginning of the file. I understood that it’s a function to which the parameters you would like to see when you call neofetch in terminal are passed in. But I could not find any path to the file or what it takes this host information from, at least in this file (config.conf).

Then I found a forum thread.
I read this thread and did as it said using the
Using the option to edit the file on the path:

But it didn’t work. Most likely because it is not related to the host, but to the model.

Shouldn’t it be pulling the information from /etc/hostname ? Try editing that file, as sudo and reboot.

You can use hostname - if installed - this will revert after reboot

sudo hostname fido
