I want to change the default colour on xfce from grey to something else that matches the theme of my desktop better, I am aware that it is usually a different colour for manjaro, this is because i did a minimal install
The easiest way would be to find an existing theme that someone wrote . There are thousands at https://www.xfce-look.org
There are also XFCE theme packages in the AUR that you can install as packages.
And if you want some customized themes, you can also try themix (AUR).
The quick answer is: Can’t change a color in XFCE via Settings Manager, but you can change the theme. There are three places to customize color/theme:
- Desktop > Wallpaper
- Appearance > Style
- Window Manager > Theme
