How can I change text editor from gedit to gnome text editor?

Hi,
how can I change text editor in nautilus when I want to edit file as administrator? Thanks for reply.

kate has such a function, you open the required file, as an example /etc/samba/smb.conf
and as you are done editing and saving, kate prompts you with the password request.

Unfortunately, gnome-text-editor doesn’t have this function. But thanks for reply.

I am not a Gnome user - but from a quick search - the package nautilus-admin should do the trick - my guess is it adds an admin type context action

Thank you for reply. You are right. There is admin mode in nautilus.
