Horrible ghost input when switching workspace

I’ve been haunted by this issue for long, and not sure where to find a solution, and guess it’s not really an issue with Manjaro.

I’m running Plasma desktop, I have multiple work spaces, and I can swipe on the touch pad on the laptop to switch workspace. Often times, when I switch to a workspace that has Android Studio or Intellij, some character (often c or v) is added into the editor. This is pretty horrible but I can’t figure out what cause it.

I asked AI and got:

this is a known class of “ghost input” issues on Plasma

and a detailed list of possibilities and solutions, but they don’t seem to help eliminate the problem for me.

Anyone had similar experiences and got a working solution?

I think the issue might be avoided if I turn on animation when switching workspace. I used to have no animation, so a swipe on the touchpad jumps straight to the workspace. Now I set to slide the workspaces when swipe, seems the mysterious input no longer occurs.

BTW, I’m using older MacBook Pro.
