Laptop: Acer Swift 1 (Intel Pentium n6000 model)
Problem: There is a persistent hissing noise from laptop speakers when headphones are connected via aux.
The fix: The problem goes away if I manually enable auto mute in Alsa Mixer.
Note: I have also tried to use “echo “0” | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save” command as suggested by posts with similar problem to mine, but that did not fix the issue.
