In the part where you can install applications, it doesn’t show when the application is already installed for example I have VirtualBox, Audacious or TimeShift installed, it doesn’t show as installed (some are though). Also the popup that shows when you click Install is inside the application card, so if the main application is not maximized, you can have it almost hidden and the buttons are hidden.
Resizing still makes things go under others.
I’m not a fan of the automatic update check when you reach that part. I think this should be manually triggered, to not have it stall for minutes on low bandwidth scenario, or if you don’t want to eat your bandwidth (sometimes people use limited connections).
Well its installed in my cinnamon iso’s but does not auto load in the live session. I guess something needs to change in the build system to make it work
when application is maximized the menu is like “one with the main frame”, but when you resize, the menu has its own frame within which it has its own scrollbar. Reducing the window size and making it bigger reproduces the issue on my side.
A very nice project. Especially now when manjaro-application-utility is bugged and has to be removed from manjaro-hello, it is a nice catalog of recommended software. I think it should be installed by default and recommended to newcomers.
A small bug though: sometimes on resize the side menu disappears and leaves only a green stripe (the selected category but without text). Resizing fixes it. A sub-bug of it, maximizing makes the side category menu unscrollable so the last 1-2 categories are hidden.
