Well in general HDMI support is great, but if you have middle device between monitor and PC you starting to have many side effects which isnt great. So connection like ‘monitor’<-“hdmi_sound_receiver”<-pc works weird. For example I have full chanel support only if I boot manjaro with receiver ‘ON’ if its “OFF” and I turn it "ON’ I cant have multichannel support (no such option). Also I think will be gread if HDMI sound can be treated as separated sound card not the same card output… so more like BT headphones act now. Also have nice sound ‘front-right’ and ‘front-left’ on connection will be nice also (switchable feature) as well do test directly from appled without open control sound in Plasma.
