Hdd thrashing, system so slow

I’ve just installed manjaro and it’s very very slow , my hdd is warming up so much , does it have anything to do with partiions , check results of sudo fdisk -l
...Device Start End Sectors Size . . . . Type
/dev/sda1 4096 618495 614400 300M EFI System
/dev/sda2 618496 1953520064 1952901569 931.2G Linux filesystem

Booting a Linux installation involves multiple stages and software components, including firmware initialization, execution of a boot loader, loading and startup of a Linux kernel image, and execution of various startup scripts and daemons and if installed baloo creates its file index which will take some ressources for a while. So I would give the system some time for initialization. Make sure to update it after installing.

Look into S.M.A.R.T. for errors - maybe the drive will fail soon??
