Having trouble with 165Hz

After upgrading my monitor to a 165Hz G-Sync display I thought that running xrandr --output DP-0 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 165.00 would be all I needed to do to enjoy a high refresh rate on linux. I was wrong… Only the mouse cursor and moving the windows around the screen runs at 165Hz, EVERYTHING else, from my terminal to Librewolf ALL my apps are stuck at 60Hz. I’ve tried tweaking picom to no avail, adding nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to grub and nothing. Absolutely nothing that I could find online as helped thus far, so hopefully you guys have some kind of an idea that could fix this issue? I’m using i3 with X11 and picom with proprietary Nvidia drivers.

This is physically impossible. The refresh rate of a monitor always applies to the entire monitor.
