Eclipse Theia is an extensible platform to develop multi-language Cloud & Desktop IDEs with state-of-the-art web technologies. It looks nice and very similar to vscode. Anyone tried?
And what part of your advertisement is in need of “support”?
I am not a member of this project, I just ask what is the difference between this and vscode, can it be used as a substitute for vscode
Not ADVERTISEMENT
If the title caused your misunderstanding, I have removed the title
And how is by stating
became a solution for your question?
No one can read your mind to know what you mean while writing something different…
To answer both your questions:
- No i did not try and don’t feel a need to try it.
- That is the nice thing about software, if you are interested in what it can do and if you can replace a software with another one for your needs, you can try for yourself and decide.
Other people are not a guinea pig in cases like that, and even if they would volunteer for that test the answer would be specific to their needs and not yours.
So IMHO: Yes it was/still is advertisement, no matter how you fiddle with your wordings…
(At least someone removed the links)
PS: I changed the category
ok, I get it
