Gyroscope axes are mixed up in Steam

I’m using an 8bitdo ultimate gamepad in pro controller mode, connected to PC via dongle.

I don’t know what update this started with, as it worked fine when playing Thief 2014 a few months ago. After a break, I started going through dead space and then I discovered that the gyro axes don’t match the system (or Steam) axes. I tried to search for a similar problem, but either there is nothing on the internet or I just haven’t found it. I have no idea even roughly how to fix it. Please help me.

My system is in the stable branch, I update it regularly, I have not installed any other kernels myself, I just installed 6.10 and use it as it is

Did you try the other game where it “worked fine”?
Does it still work fine?

Steam itself detects the axes crookedly. And since my main gamepad driver is steam input, the gyro doesn’t work correctly in any game. However, when using it in bluetooth controller mode, the axes are detected correctly. This would be enough for me, if not for the bluetooth input delay. So I would like to find a solution to the problem when using a dongle.

Hell, I somehow switched it to pro controller mode for windows (select+B). I pressed select+Y, the controller rebooted and the axes were detected normally
