My Manjaro (24.0.6) KDE Plasma started randomly making new sounds, like a notification sound, after the last update. I discovered it was related to a core dump error, which was as follows…

I found a fix in this post → Xdg-desktop portal core-dump
But when I run:
sudo pacman -S gsettings-desktop-schemas
I get:
…

This is the same error I get when I run:
sudo /usr/bin/glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/
And also when I run (attempting to purge anything gnome-related):
sudo pacman -R xapp
sudo pacman -R libgnomekbd
I have no idea how to debug this or fix it. Not only does it “bing” every few seconds, but it also appears to freeze my mouse every few seconds.
Is this a necessary package? Or is it left over from gnome stuff that somehow got installed?
Any suggestions as to why this is happening or how to fix it?
