Grub rescue says: 'grub_debug_malloc' not found

Otherwise no issues. Let me try and reboot now.

Okay this fixed my problem. Thank you! By the way do you know why my boot order has been rearranged in the bios? Thought its not possible to change bios settings from the OS level? And what messed grub up so badly?

On a EFI there must be written an entry on the BIOS. Therefore it must be accessible from the OS.

No idea about timeshift, but what did it really badly is that:

It was an EFI Installation, now you overwrite the grub files to an BIOS (legacy) Installation and since there was no grub_bios partition for the image on the GPT Partition Table, it will just fail to boot.

Thanks!
