Graphical rendering issues when attempting to use ckb-next

,

I am having an issue in the GUI where it lags by one frame when switching between tabs, similar to this user on the main Arch forum, whose solutions I have also tried but to no avail:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=289605

My GPU is currently the AMD Radeon Vega 11 as I use a Ryzen 5 2400G as my APU.
I am using the XFCE version 4.18 desktop environment with X11 as well as GTK version 3.24.38.
My Linux kernel version is 6.6.7-1.

I am now wondering what I should do to mitigate this issue.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi @monotheisticmortal, and welcome!

I have and use ckb-next myself, and I just checked again. I have no such issues with it and never had for the ±2 years I’ve been using it.

So I don’t know what it could be, but I can provide you with information as to what I have installed, and you can possibly see a difference:

$ pamac info ckb-next

Hope this helps!

Edit:

Another thing to do to help troubleshoot this is to open the GUI from the terminal:

ckb-next

…and seeing if there are any errors when using it.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I wasn’t expecting to hear back this quickly!

So, as you can see, I appear to be having the same exact output as you and am not sure what to do.

Just one more thing: my keyboard is the Corsair K70 Rapidfire non-RGB, although I’m not sure if it makes a difference in this case as it’s to do with the GUI.

Edit: I am running into this issue yet again when running it from terminal. It also seems to be adding a delay to my typing, making it incredibly difficult to type out this reply, so I have had to kill it from the background.

I’m afraid I have absolutely NO idea where to go and what to do. Sorry.
