I found myself in the same position. Disabling gpu acceleration worked as a quick workaround. But i found another post about the same issue in the arch forum: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2098015#p2098015 Doing an: # rm -rf ~/.config/google-chrome/Default/GPUCache fixed the problem for me. Now chrome start as usual without any graphics glitches
