I use old hardware nvidia 340xx,

I also use old hardware, Asus laptop from 2009 with dGPU with 340xx driver and I don’t have issues on kernel 5.10.34 so far. Its not that difficult to do it. You don’t have to be teach-savvy for that.
I know am not

I came directly from Windows 7 to Manjaro 3.5 years ago, and so far its been nothing but fun ride highs and lows as you say.
