Gnome terminal icon prefix on Cinnamon terminal

Hey there, i was wondering how to get this icon prefix from gnome terminal (which is in manjaro gnome) in cinnamon manjaro terminal, i found it really cool, please let me know how do it get it on my manjaro…

Welcome to the forum! :vulcan_salute:

You have to install one of the Nerd-family of fonts, such as ttf-hack-nerd.

Also, you seem to be waay out-of-date. We’re at version 24 already:

LSB Version:	n/a
Distributor ID:	ManjaroLinux
Description:	Manjaro Linux
Release:	24.0.0
Codename:	Wynsdey

Best get that taken are of.

I take it this would be an old screenshot, or taken off the web, given that the OP is asking how to get those icons (back).

If that were a screenshot of the OPs machine in its current state, then the OP wouldn’t need to pose the question, because the icons in that screenshot look exactly as they are supposed to be.

Yeah, that’s true. Or it might be someone else’s machine, which would then kind of be the same…

Anyway OP, if that’s your machine, you’d best sort the updates. If not, cool then.

bruh i tried ttf-hack-nerd font and it looks like this now.

Try manjaro-zsh-config?

Edit:

I don’t know which shell the Cinamon edition uses, but if it doesn’t you should switch it it zsh as well as installing the above.
