That’s at least what he’s saying. Since I don’t know any details about GNOME’s inner workings, I have to believe what is stated.

You’re not the first to report that it’s working on your end. There have been confirmed cases about gnome-logs crashing as well as a user reporting everything works fine despite of also running GNOME and dash-to-dock in my linked discussion above.
So you’re right and I’m also not ruling out that there’s ‘something else’ at play.
All I know and can say is, it’s coredumping on my end even on a fresh install and I don’t seem to be the only one affected. I think all I can do has been done. I’ve reported the error and even provided a backtrace (once I found out how )
