same problem for me. I think this is a problem related to the NVIDIA video driver. with the open source driver or another graphics card, the problem disappears. Do you use a Nvidia driver ?

Indeed I have a Nvidia driver. Your solution was not working. I reinstalled my system with the propriety drivers and I got the same problems. Then using the open-source drivers solved the problems.

if this does not help, then you can try to set the parameter “GSK_RENDERER=cairo”. There are cases when everything works fine with it. here is a transcript of the parameters GSK_RENDERER=
broadway - Use the Broadway specific renderer
cairo - Use the Cairo fallback renderer
opengl - Use the OpenGL renderer
gl - Use the OpenGL renderer
ngl - Use the new OpenGL renderer
vulkan - Use the Vulkan renderer
