The following is true of all Discourse based forum software:
Any code or command (including inxi) output should be posted as pre-formatted text. This can be done from the Compose window in either of two ways:
1. By placing the text directly between two rows of three backtick (grave accent) characters, as illustrated here:
```
Command output would be pasted here.
```
which produces a (scrollable) pre-formatted text container, like this:
Command output would be pasted here.
2. Very short lengths of text best pre-formatted for presentation can simply be typed inline between two backticks `like this` <=> like this.
Note that provided the backtick characters are properly positioned (according to forum guidelines) then any warnings in the Compose window concerning links can be safely ignored.
Further to this, you may discover that you are likewise prevented from posting live links (initially) – this can also be worked around by posting the full URL between backtick characters, as previously mentioned;
Example: https://forum.manjaro.com – This allows forum users to easily copy/paste a link, if they wish.
Manjaro is made available in three distinct official editions as the Manjaro Download page clearly indicates:
- Manjaro KDE Plasma
- Manjaro XFCE
- Manjaro Gnome
Packages relating to each edition are released to official repositories in unison (at the same time) – thus, without you specifically stating so (indicating which edition you use), your argument is severely flawed, wouldn’t you say?
A reminder that forum users are not required to provide assistance, and most do so out of a genuine spirit of altruism, reflecting the welcoming nature of open-source communities.
Help others to help you, and please, fix your attitude.

It is important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem. Please also be prepared to provide output from commands if/when asked.
Simply waiting for others to ask you questions is counter-productive – typically, nobody has a
at their disposal – and your clear, concise and accurate input is often relied upon in order to help you.
Please help others to make informed suggestions based on information you provide.

While information from *-fetch type apps might be fine for someone wishing to buy your computer, for Support purposes it’s better to ask your system directly; ![]()
Output of the inxi command (with appropriate parameters, and formatted according to forum guidelines) will generate information useful for those wishing to help:
Suggested inxi command (use either):
inxi -zv8 |
(short-form) |
inxi --filter --verbosity=8 |
(long-form) |
| inxi man pages | (manual) |
Running `inxi` within a `chroot` environment
- Add
--color=0to the long-form command, or… - Change the short-form command to
inxi -zv8c0
