Fn key volume and brightness notification

I am facing a new issue after the latest update (working on 3rd Dec 2020). The issue is that there is no notification feedback whenever I change volume or brightness on my laptop using the Fn keys - F2, F3, F11, F12. The brightness and volume do change in the background but there is no visual cue like it used to do earlier with a big overlay on the screen showing the volume and brightness level.

Please help me out with this issue. Thanks

These are my system info:

I had this problem too some months ago.
But it resolved itself after an update (I don’t remember what is was).

You don’t get notifications at all?
Can you see them by launching, from the Terminal, the following command? notify-send "Notification test"
Is the folder ~/.cache/xfce4/notifyd/ populated? If so, post the content of the log file by executing cat ~/.cache/xfce4/notifyd/log
