Firewall settings in Manjaro

Hey all tech Dudes and Dudettes.

I’m not quite getting anywhere.

This is the situation:
I have my Android 12 , Win 10 pro and this Pi 4B 8gb with Manjaro.

Now I came across Warpinator and installed it.
This because I want to use the pi as a data server.

The problem now is this:
win sees the android 12 but not the pi.

The android sees win and the pi but I can’t send anything to the pi.

Everything is going well between the win and the Android.

How do I properly set the Manjaro firewall to UDP and TCP?

Or where can I find a good place to learn a little more about the firewall .

Jip noobie here ;)) But I must say that the Manjaro Kernl 5.15.56-1- ARM-RPI 64bit is good and stable on the pi 4b!
I can now finally delve into the Linux way of life!!!

Manjaro, coffee, trubble shot, coffee, trubble shot, sleep repeat…, eat !

Why do you need warpinator, whatever tf that is? You can share/send/whatever files without any special programs. But ok.

I didn’t know operating systems have eyes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Huh? UDP and TCP are just two protocols.

Internet. And about specific linux firewall apps on archwiki about firewalls.

First thing’s first. Do you even have a firewall on rpi? (I don’t know if manjaro-arm includes it) So, is ufw installed and enabled? If it is, then read warpinator’s github page and check that you have specified ports opened.

It depends on the image you used. For example the Manjaro Arm KDE edition includes and starts friewalld.

See the Arch wiki how you can configure it.

It’s a copy past prog , nice and easy to a folder in my server!

I wanted to start an ftp first, but I still can’t quite do it. and I saw this and thought that’s simple!
I’ll be sure to check it out on Git and also the wicky Thanks for the way !!

AAAAA, so this is the way :call_me_hand:

First you don’t need warpinator to copy past to/from a Folder on your server. sshfs works just fine. There are plenty of articles explaining how to set up passwordless access via ssh (and by extension sshfs)

Try this article https://www.redhat.com/sysadmin/beginners-guide-firewalld for help on learning firewalld.
