FireFox launches on wrong virtual desktop

I want firefox to start on the virtual desktop that I currently am on. But firefox always launches on the virtual desktop that it was closed on previously, despite no window rules concerning firefox.

It took me way too long to figure out that firefox could be the issue and not plasma. FireFox has the preferences > general > restore previous session option. I use it for restoring the tabs of the previous session. Apparently this makes firefox remember the virtual desktop as well and makes it launch there.

Is there a way to have firefox open on the current virtual desktop but with the tabs of the previous session?

Oof, after searching the web some more I found out that there is a hidden ff setting (about:config) for this:

widget.disable-workspace-management

Set it to true and enable preferences > general > restore previous session to have firefox start on the current virtual desktop and still restore tabs.
