Firefox hebrew font is often un readable

i use gnome and firefox…
but sometimes the hebrew font for webpages is just unreadable and not a standard at all… i mean i can’t read much with it because it is not clear…

why is that and how can it be fixed?
i prefer open source fonts but i don’t know much about it…
if you want i can bring a screenshot of the problem…

an important thing to mention is that i use privacy badger. maybe this is the problem? i mean some google ‘features’ are blocked. maybe even the google fonts…

let me know what you can tell me about it in short…

thank you very much…
i know there is a chance someone has already answered the same question over here…

  1. Disable Privacy Badger
  2. Close Firefox
  3. Open Firefox

Does the issue still exist?

If exists, then:

  • firefox -p create a fresh profile and try again.
  • sign in and synchronise and try again.

yes,
and also a new profile is the same…
i can upload a screenshot of the font if you need…

something is wrong with the hebrew fonts i guess…

sudo fc-cache -f -v

Maybe you could try this.

As a relatively new forum user, you are encouraged to take some time to familiarise yourself with Forum requirements; in particular, the many ways to use the forum to your benefit:

The Update Announcements contain a Known Issues and Solutions section and should generally be checked before posting a request for support.

Output of the following command formatted according to forum requirements (see links above) is often useful (and this or similar will usually be asked for in Support threads):

inxi -zv8

This gives some (privacy-filtered) information about your system.

I can’t see this topic going any further until the volunteers in this forum know what desktop environment you are running, what compositor, and details of your graphics. The output of the above command will provide that information.

Regards.

sorry but i don’t have time at the moment.
i just wanted you to know that there is a problem with hebrew…
even if you will not fix it you will still know about it…

As this user has failed to provide system information in any of the support topics they have created, making it very difficult for those who volunteer their time here to provide any support, I am unlisting this topic until the output of inxi -zv8 is provided.
