Clicking on the files app does not open. Dialog boxes from web browser which use file browsing are working. Running in terminal gives the following:
** Message: 16:44:32.159: Connecting to org.freedesktop.Tracker3.Miner.Files
Namespace Nautilus is already loaded with version 4.0
This happened a long time ago when i accidently uninstalled electron - but it is there now.
Reinstalling, launching through pacman does not work either. What am i missing?
Can’t reproduce. I haven’t seen anyone else anywhere report anything similar, either.
…not related. Those use GtkFileChooser which is part of gtk4, not nautilus.
However, there are upcoming changes regarding how that’s handled, so my statement will be soon outdated and inaccurate.
No idea.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
No, seriously. You wouldn’t believe how many times users didn’t try that before reporting an issue.
Is your (base) system up to date?
sudo pacman -Syu
electron ? should not have anything to do with it
That doesn’t make sense to me - you can’t launch anything through pacman.
pacman is for system maintenance/updates
… start it from terminal - look at the output
