File install for MARI

hello.

I was going to try Mari, not sure if anyone is familiar with it. It’s a 3d painting software.

Anyway, the file looks like this.
Mari4.6v4-linux-x86-release-64.run

When i double click on it, it starts a word doc and there’s a progress bar. Is this how I am supposed to open this type of file? I cancelled it just because the sheer amount of time it was taking, didnt want to do that then find out i did it the wrong way.

Be aware that most .run files won’t work on Manjaro, since they are likely made for Debian/ubuntu based systems.

But if you really want to try it, you should make it executable first, and then run it in a terminal with:

chmod +x <filepath> && ./<filepath>
