I’ve just bought this microphone and it records my voice distorted as if I was drunk and my nasal holes were obstructed. Is this a matter of settings or drivers?

Unfortunately, without at least some basic information about your system & setup, it is impossible for people wishing to help to be able to do so.
To this end, could you provide the output of the command:
inxi -zv8
… please select ALL the output in the Terminal, then paste here;
Highlight all the pasted text then click the </> button at the top of the Reply window, or add three backticks ``` (or three tildes ~~~) on their own lines above and below the pasted text.
This formats it correctly for the Forum, and the information will hopefully give us an insight.

Distortion is most likely to be caused by setting the microphone gain too high
Review for this microphone has gain set to “around 12 O’Clock” (50%)

Microphone gain can be adjusted manually on the microphone so there is unlikely to be additional gain controls in alsamixer
