But we have different hardware so it’s not indicative. Nonetheless, it’s a bug most certainly.
You should do a backtrace yourself and submit it to ffmpeg, or at least ask about.

ffplay without the -x/-y parameters defaults to whatever the host screen dimensions happen to be. For testing, running it at -x 900 -y 1600 is more convenient (on my 1920x1800 screen). Perhaps the OP prefers some finer control.

Note that I’m currently running it in a Manjaro WSL instance; the message might be meaningless with respect Manjaro on metal.

Edit:- I’m using an RX 580, similar to the RX 480 that @Yochanan mentions below – neither apparently support certain extensions.

ffmpeg/ffplay or graphics driver or something other.
As i said there is no problem with ffmpeg 9.0.0 or 9.0.1 under Windows 11 Pro.

That’s an older card and doesn’t seem to support newer Vulkan extensions.

I have a similar issue on my RX 480. In my case my card doesn’t support Vulkan H264 hardware acceleration. I had to use the old VA-API encoder for Sunshine.

mpv is installed and your RADV_PERFTEST works also without any problem.

As @Yochanan pointed out, our GPU’s doesn’t seem to support the newest Vulkan extensions.
I suppose you could add these settings to mpv conf and bashrc to use them automatically with mpv instead of ffplay
