Failed to synchronize all databases (no servers configured for repository) and can not refresh mirrors

I am not able to update Manjaro, the update command with pacman gives me the error:

 ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ ~]$ sudo pacman -Syuu
:: Synchronizing package databases...
error: failed to synchronize all databases (no servers configured for repository)

on searching I saw that it could be a mirrors issue and tried updating it, but got the error:

[■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ ~]$ sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack
::INFO Downloading mirrors from Manjaro

Then I thought that since I recently moved from India to the US, I can resolve this by switching the mirrors to another country but still ran into:

[■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ ~]$ sudo pacman-mirrors --country United_States --fasttrack

Not sure if I proceeded in the right direction. I desperately need to update my packages. Any help with this will be appreciated.

It sounds like you deleted the lines under [community] in /etc/pacman.cont but did not delete the line [community]

Edit your /etc/pacman.conf and make sure your repo config part look like this

[core]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

[extra]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

# If you want to run 32 bit applications on your x86_64 system,
# enable the multilib repositories as required here.

[multilib]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Some pacman-mirrors arguments cannot be combined - please read the message

To rebuild your mirror list use

sudo pacman-mirrors --country all

Or

sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack 10

Then do a system sync

sudo pacman -Syu

You can also simply enter the following in the terminal.

sudo cp /etc/pacman.conf /etc/pacman.conf.original
sudo cp /etc/pacman.conf.pacnew /etc/pacman.conf
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack
sudo pacman -Syu

That will remove any custom changes made to pacman.conf. If the user didn’t make any, it wouldn’t make a difference.

Thanks, this helped. Although I could not run sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack correctly since it still seems to be trying to get the India connection Pool. So I used:

sudo pacman-mirrors --country all

now on running the system update, I get the following conflict:

error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
:: tlp and power-profiles-daemon are in conflict

how must I decide to keep tlp or power-profiles-daemon? Is it right to remove one of them and re-run the system update?

If you don’t know what tlp even is:
remove that one

If you know tlp, remove the other one.

Yes, it should be that simple.

Please see TLP and Power Profiles Daemon are in conflict.

Regards.
