OK thanks. I just need to do one thing after my call & then I can follow your steps. If you can post your suggestion meantime, I will appreciate it.

I also need to access my files from Chroot & am not sure how to do that.

I am completely unsure 'bout this, but I think if it’s mounted VIA fstab it will be mounted in chroot. No do not quote me on that.

I don’t have any other tips or steps than what I already gave you:

I was afraid of that, but kind of expected it. It seems you’'ll have to use pacman-static. These commands are for the chroot environment, unless otherwise specified. So let’s try this:

1. Go the the root user’s $HOME directory:

cd /root

2. Download the pacman-static precompiled binary:

curl --header 'Host: pkgbuild.com' --user-agent 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/138.0' --header 'Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8' --header 'Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.5' --referer 'https://pkgbuild.com/~morganamilo/pacman-static/x86_64/bin/' --header 'Upgrade-Insecure-Requests: 1' --header 'Sec-Fetch-Dest: document' --header 'Sec-Fetch-Mode: navigate' --header 'Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin' --header 'Sec-Fetch-User: ?1' --header 'DNT: 1' --header 'Sec-GPC: 1' 'https://pkgbuild.com/~morganamilo/pacman-static/x86_64/bin/pacman-static' --output 'pacman-static'

I use a generator for it, didn’t come all out of my mind.

3. Make it executable:

chmod +x pacman-static

4. Use that to reinstall libxml2:

./pacman-static -Sy libxml2

5. If successful you can reboot and see what happens.

reboot

Note:

I have never done this, so it’s all just theory. But I think my theory is sound._

Wow, thank you so much @Mirdarthos - I cannot believe I made such a rookie mistake…several rookie mistakes.

My machine logged back in without a problem & is running perfectly.
