Failed to start Authorization Manager

Usually there is a message like “nothing to do”, with the obvious meaning. This suggests the update has completed, but it seems that something else has gone awry after that.

What that is might only be determined from the information you can provide. Please provide system information as described (below) and I’m sure someone will help when they are able.

I do seem to recall seeing a mention of lib32-glibc recently; perhaps in the Update announcement comments; but that might no longer be relevant.


A quick Internet search (Arch related) revealed similar issues for some after incorrectly merging .pacnew files; have you merged any very recently?


You might consider performing an update again - from within a chroot environment – this tutorial may be helpful;
